Over the past several years, Costa Rica has taken significate initiatives to make the fishing industry and tourism more sustainable, benefitting marine diversity and ocean health. As a result, Costa Rica is a world-class fishing destination for avid anglers year-round. The waters of Costa Rica are home to numerous fish species, including Marlin (blue, black, and striped), Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), Wahoo, Roosterfish, Snapper, Grouper, and Tarpon.
