Professional Experience

Kevin Renninger’s responsibilities include managing the national sales and marketing team and setting the firm’s strategic business direction.  In this role, Kevin and his team are charged with continuously opening new markets while expanding the firm’s niche services in existing markets. Further, as Vice President, Kevin works with his fellow Partners to locate new regional offices and assist in the due diligence of acquisition targets.

Since joining the firm in 2003, Kevin has played an instrumental role in the dramatic growth of Environmental Standards. From 2003 to present, the firm has tripled the number of offices, expanded operations into 7 new states, tripled its revenue, and doubled the number of professional staff. The success and growth of the firm has established Environmental Standards as the premier environmental quality assurance oversight firm in the nation. Among other initiatives, Kevin and his team have launched an Emergency Response Quality Assurance Oversight Program to leverage knowledge gained while working in the Incident Command Centers in response to our nation’s two largest environmental incidents.

Upon receiving his engineering degree and just prior to joining Environmental Standards, Kevin Renninger worked his way through the ranks of a multi-national energy company. Beginning his career as an energy design engineer, Kevin developed leading fuel technologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of the energy company. After participating in an employee exchange with a Japanese energy enterprise, Kevin shifted his focus to energy conservation, energy procurement strategies, and retail energy commodity sales – all with newly created LLCs for an energy company that was growing beyond it’s “utility” roots. It was in these later roles during the height of US energy deregulation where Kevin developed his passion for growing new business and markets.
