Did Someone Say Lunch?
These are untethered days, and we at Environmental Standards have been struggling to come up with a way to be of service and support our fellow environmental professionals.
Typically, this time of year, many of our Chemists and members of our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Auditing Team can be found in planes, trains and automobiles headed to audit various environmental laboratories and manufacturing and industrial facilities in the U.S. and abroad. They are all grounded for now. However, we count ourselves so fortunate. At this writing, we are thankful to say that our data validation, site remediation and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) projects are sustaining us through these difficult times. To our clients, you have our heartfelt gratitude.
All of this is to say that we know that our friends and peers in the environmental industry are not as fortunate and are facing numerous challenges. Pay cuts, facility closures and job losses are real amongst so many of us.
We would like to provide some support by offering continuing professional development lunch‑and‑learn sessions. Below, are a few presentations we have given in the past, and we are open to suggestions for future topics. We will “cater” to your professional training needs. You pick a day and time, and we’ll send over lunch for your small group.
It’s a way for us to show our thanks to you for your ongoing support and to recognize that we are all in this together. We extend our thanks to all of you for what you’re doing for all of us. We hope by offering to provide lunch and some professional training, we might be able to do some good in your world.
