Professional Experience
Ms. Rodgers has 13 years of diverse environmental laboratory and quality assurance experience. As a Senior Quality Assurance Chemist, she is responsible for managing projects for several industrial clients. Projects managed range from corporate laboratory programs, to third-party data validation, to forensic data review and consulting chemistry projects. In her role as Project Manager of corporate laboratory programs, Ms. Rodgers coordinates discrete and ongoing quality monitoring activities including laboratory auditing, performance evaluation studies, and data validation. She also serves as the technical reference point for the laboratory programs. She has assisted several clients in preparing technical requests for proposals for environmental laboratory services and in selecting appropriate laboratories to meet their specific requirements.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Chemist, Ms. Rodgers is experienced in performing analytical data validation to determine both analytical data quality and usability. Data reviewed include those for US EPA Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) protocols and SW-846 methods. In addition, she evaluates laboratory data deliverables to determine compliance with regulatory and client-specific requirements. Ms. Rodgers has performed project, task, and data validation management duties for several ongoing data validation projects and consulting projects. She has performed forensic review of data to confirm or refute results for several clients. She has conducted on-site environmental laboratory audits for several clients.
Ms. Rodgers serves as Data Validation Project Manager for a project involving a utility company’s fly ash spill in East Tennessee; in this position, she coordinates delivery of data packages from several laboratories and for several matrices; coordinates the efforts of junior chemists; and communicates with the laboratories and client. In addition, she works with the IT Department to maintain the project database. Ms. Rodgers traveled to the site of the fly ash spill on a monthly basis to assist in data management and chemistry consulting tasks with other site personnel.
Ms. Rodgers also is responsible for mentoring junior chemists. Her responsibilities include orientation and training for various analytical methods, company standard operating procedures and protocols, and validation procedures.
Education
Ms. Rodgers received a Bachelor of Science Degree from West Chester University (Pennsylvania) in 2003 and completed professional development courses in “Understanding Project Management Practices” and “Communication, Leadership and Motivation” at Villanova University (Pennsylvania) in 2007. In 2009, Ms. Rodgers completed the Multi-Agency Radiology Laboratory Analytical Protocols Manual: Part 1 Training. “The MARLAP Process,” United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 3. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ms. Rodgers graduated from the Dale Carnegie course in the Fall of 2012.
