Principal Geoscientist/Managing Partner

Gerald L. Kirkpatrick (Gerry Kirkpatrick) is a Principal Geoscientist and the Managing Partner of Environmental Standards, Inc., a technology-driven environmental consulting firm of more than 85 professionals. Gerry has more than 35 years of applied environmental geoscience experience in both private industry and environmental consulting.

Professional Experience

Gerry has provided investigation and facility assessment services for Fortune 500 clients and specializes in developing efficient site environmental strategies for accelerated project closures, reduced remedial system operational costs. He also leads the firm’s insurance loss control and insurance claims response services.

As Principal Geoscientist at Environmental Standards, he is responsible for providing senior negotiation services and strategy advice to industrial and financial industry clients for a broad variety of environmental business issues including the development and negotiation of remediation system optimization strategies, work scopes leading to fast project closure, brownfield redevelopment strategies, and remedial action planning.  International experience in Europe, Asia, North America, and South America provides him with a global perspective on environmental management issues for the multi-national client.

Certifications

Gerry Kirkpatrick has presented or has published more than 50 professional papers and is a nationally-certified Professional Geologist by the American Institute of Professional Geologists.  He is an Elected Fellow of the Royal Geological Society, London, and he is also a Licensed Professional Geologist in Indiana, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Education

Gerald L. Kirkpatrick received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from Muskingum University in 1980 and a Master of Science Degree in Geology from the Florida State University in 1982.
