PFAS Limits by State

The states listed have either approved regulation or active proposed regulation that is more restrictive than the US EPA’s 2016 Health Advisory. Further, the table addresses Drinking Water (DW), Ground Water (GW) and Surface Water (SW) only, and does not address other matrices or regulations governing use, production or remediation of PFAS. States not listed in the table may have PFAS related advisories or may be imposing PFAS monitoring requirements or requests, so it is therefore important to check directly with each state agency on their specific regulations and expectations.

All values are in parts-per-trillion (ppt).

Current as of 4/2022.
