Environmental Chemists - Staff Level - Kingston, TN
Environmental Standards, Inc., a leader in developing innovative solutions addressing client environmental liabilities, with offices in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania; Charlottesville, Virginia; and Kingston, Tennessee, has a staff-level environmental chemist (non-laboratory) position available at our Kingston office.  Since our inception in 1987, we have enjoyed long-term relationships with Fortune 500 companies and continue to provide high-quality environmental consulting services using emerging science and technologies.

We are seeking an environmental chemist to perform data validation, laboratory auditing, quality assurance program management, and analytical chemistry consulting.  The following responsibilities are associated with this position depending upon the amount of prior experience:

• Review and validation of US EPA organic and inorganic analytical data.
• Audit the procedures of environmental laboratories.
• Write proposals for new projects and reports for quality assurance services.
• Prepare Quality Assurance Project Plans.
• Overnight travel for client meetings, laboratory audits, and presentations at conferences/seminars.

The following qualifications are preferred:

• BS or MS degree in Chemistry.
• 0-10 years of environmental laboratory experience in GC/MS, GC, ICP, HPLC.
• Familiarity with the US EPA methods for the preparation and analysis of environmental samples.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
