
Ecological Risk Assessor
Environmental Standards is seeking a full-time Ecological Risk Assessor
to support our Geosciences Department. The successful candidate
will have 3 to 5 years working experience and a B.S. or M.S. degree
(preferred) in biology, ecology, zoology, toxicology, environmental
science, or related field.
Required knowledge and skills include:
- Experience in conducting all aspects of ecological risk assessment
including work with terrestrial and aquatic habitats; CERCLA,
RCRA, and PA DEP ecological risk assessment protocols; and food
chain modeling.
- Environmental Data Evaluation and Statistics
- Literature Research and Analysis
- Direct Client Interaction
- Report Preparation
- Proposal and Budget Development
- Project Management
- Field sampling including soil, groundwater, and terrestrial
and aquatic biota

Candidates should be detail oriented with
excellent oral and written communication skills and analytical abilities.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in MS Word and Excel, possess
the ability to work independently, and maintain a strong desire
to learn and grow professionally. Wetland delineation and bog turtle
experience a plus. Some travel required.
